About

AccountHop for AWS helps you open AWS Console links in the correct account without manually switching through your company’s AWS access portal.

If you work across multiple AWS accounts, it’s easy to land on the wrong account and hit access errors, missing resources, or confusing 403 pages. AccountHop fixes that by detecting which account a link belongs to and redirecting you through your AWS access portal so the destination opens in the right account context.

The extension can recognize AWS account IDs directly from console URLs and can also use your own saved account mappings when a link includes team, environment, or service keywords instead of an explicit account ID. When the account is not clear, AccountHop can prompt you to choose from your configured or learned accounts instead of leaving you on a broken page.

AccountHop also helps reduce repetitive account-switching work by remembering accounts it has seen and letting you import available accounts from your AWS access portal into the extension. That makes it faster to jump to the right environment when working across development, staging, production, or multiple customer accounts.

Install AccountHop if you regularly:

Open AWS Console links from Slack, docs, tickets, or dashboards
Work in multiple AWS accounts and want fewer misdirected logins
Need a faster way to reach the correct account and resource
Want a simpler workflow with fewer access denied errors and fewer manual account switches
All settings and learned account data stay in your local browser storage. The extension is built to support one focused job: getting AWS Console links into the right account through your organization’s AWS access portal.
