About
Focus Session Guard helps you stay intentional while browsing. Set a purpose for each browser window (for example: "Read my emails", "Research opioid overdose trends", or "Write product spec"). The extension compares page context to your stated purpose and gives you a lightweight nudge when your browsing appears off track. Single purpose: Help users stay focused by comparing visited pages to a user-defined session purpose and surfacing alerts when relevance drops. What you can do: - Set and update a session purpose per browser window. - Get clear on-track vs alert feedback while browsing. - Use silent mode when you do not want interruptions. - See session and all-time analytics in the dashboard. - Review recent page visits with similarity scores and outcomes. - Export stats as CSV and reset data at any time. How it works: - Page context is analyzed in the extension. - A hybrid similarity pipeline combines structured page features (title, URL, navigation context, and content signals). - Alert logic uses stability rules to reduce noisy one-off alerts. Privacy and data handling: - Session settings and analytics are stored in Chrome extension storage. - The extension does not use a developer-owned telemetry backend. - Optional alert diagnostics are off by default and can be enabled in the dashboard. - This release uses remote model asset download from Hugging Face for local inference setup. Best for: - Students who want focused research sessions. - Professionals who want fewer context-switching detours. - Anyone who wants intentional browsing habits.
