Shinra Play-by-Post Exporter is an archival tool for people who play in Discord-based Play-by-Post (PbP) campaigns and want their narrative threads preserved as readable files. It works for any text channel you can read, not just RP threads, but PbP is what it was built for.

Click the extension icon while viewing a Discord channel. Pick a format. Pick a mode. Click Export. The extension fetches the messages, renders them in the format you chose, and saves the resulting files to your Downloads folder.

The output is real, structured content:
  • Bold, italics, code blocks, blockquotes, and spoilers carry over
  • User, role, and channel mentions resolved to readable names
  • Custom emoji render correctly in each format
  • Replies show the parent message as a quoted preview
  • Attachments come through as proper links

Large exports split automatically at message boundaries.

Not a bulk scraper. The extension only acts when you click it, only against the channel you are actively reading, with deliberate pacing between API requests. It will not run in the background, poll Discord, or export channels you are not viewing.

Not a cloud service. There is no server. Nothing leaves your browser except the API calls to Discord that your browser was already making anyway.
