About

ShipMind is your private, local second brain. The desktop app ingests
videos, articles, and notes, then lets you search, summarize,
and connect them with AI. This Chrome extension is the capture surface.

ONE RIGHT-CLICK, ANY CONTENT
Right-click anywhere in Chrome and you'll see a single "Send to
ShipMind" menu item. It auto-detects what you mean:
  • Highlight text → captured as a quote with source URL
  • Right-click a hyperlink → that link's target is saved
  • Right-click on a page → the current page becomes a source
  • Any YouTube URL → downloaded and auto-transcribed via Whisper

WHY LOCAL-FIRST
Everything lives on your machine. The extension talks only to your
local ShipMind app at 127.0.0.1:8765 using a private bearer token.
Nothing routes through our servers. No analytics, no tracking, no
telemetry. Your SQLite database stays on your Mac.

REQUIRES SHIPMIND FOR MAC
This extension is a companion to the ShipMind desktop app — without
the desktop app installed and running, the extension has nothing to
send to.
