About

Copy Anywhere makes copy and paste work the way it should.

Copy cleanly from websites into Google Docs, Notion, Obsidian, and other editors without rebuilding formatting by hand. It is especially helpful for math, code blocks, tables, headings, lists, links, and rich text that usually break when pasted.

What Copy Anywhere Does
- Improves normal copy and paste on webpages
- Preserves more structure for math, code, tables, headings, lists, and links
- Works with Google Docs, Notion, Obsidian, and many other editors
- Features AI Extract for screenshots, PDFs, slides, and image-based content

Best For
- Students copying notes, equations, and lecture material
- Researchers copying technical content from papers and documentation
- Engineers and writers copying code snippets and structured content
- Anyone who is tired of broken paste results

How It Works
1. Copy content on a webpage with your normal copy shortcut.
2. Paste into your editor. With all formatting intact. Done!

On AI Extract
AI Extract is designed for content that normal copy cannot handle well, such as screenshots, PDFs, slide decks, scanned notes, and image-based math or tables.

When you snip a region, Copy Anywhere sends that captured image to the app's AI processing backend and converts it into structured markdown-like output for cleaner pasting. The extension currently includes daily AI Extract credits in the product experience.

Permissions, Privacy, and Control
Copy Anywhere works across websites because users need to copy from many different sources, not just a few supported domains. The extension is built around user-triggered actions like normal copy and AI Extract. It is not a browsing-history tool, and it is not trying to monitor what users do online.

Common use cases:
Copy math from PDFs into Notion, Obsidian, or Google Docs
Copy math from ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude into your notes
Copy code blocks and tables into Google Docs without rebuilding formatting
Copy tables from PDFs into Notion, Obsidian, and Docs
Capture math or tables from images
