About

Buildnet Wallet is a self custody Solana wallet built for people who build and test on Solana. It connects to the buildnet public test cluster and to live Solana networks, so you can move from experimenting to the real thing in the same extension. Switch between mainnet, devnet, testnet, buildnet, or your own custom RPC endpoint whenever you need to.

You stay in control of your keys. When you set up the wallet, a standard BIP39 seed phrase is generated right on your device. Your private keys are encrypted and stored locally inside the browser using a key derived from your password. All signing happens on your machine with ed25519. Your seed phrase and your keys never leave the device and are never sent anywhere.

Connect to any Solana dApp without extra setup. Buildnet Wallet implements the Wallet Standard, so apps that support it can detect the wallet and request a connection automatically. Every connection request, every message, and every transaction is shown to you in a popup that you have to approve before anything is signed. You can review the site and the request first, then approve or reject.

Built in protections help keep an idle session safe. The wallet locks itself after a period of inactivity that you choose, and a password is required to unlock it again. You can manage which sites you have connected, copy your address to receive funds, and send SOL when you are ready.

There is no first party server behind this wallet. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, and no account to create. The only network calls the wallet makes are JSON RPC requests to the Solana endpoint you select. This is a self custody wallet, which means you are responsible for your seed phrase. Write it down and keep it safe, because if you lose it there is no way to recover your wallet.
