OutlookSearch is a privacy-first search extension for Outlook Web. It builds a local mailbox index inside Chrome so you can search your email quickly from a side panel instead of digging through the Outlook interface.

The trust model is the point: OutlookSearch signs in directly with Microsoft, syncs directly from Microsoft Graph, stores the search index locally in Chrome IndexedDB, and serves search results from that local index. There is no backend account, no remote database, no telemetry pipeline, and no developer server that receives your email.

If you are cautious about granting mailbox access, this is meant to answer that concern clearly. The extension needs Microsoft Mail.Read permission so it can read messages and build the local index on your device. After that, search queries and indexed email data stay inside the browser.
