Verda embeds imperceptible watermarks into media so that content can always be traced back to its original creator. This extension lets you verify whether images and videos you encounter online contain a Verda watermark — proving who created them and when.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Right-click any image on any webpage
2. Select "Verify with Verda"
3. See the result instantly — verified creator info or "no watermark found"

For videos, a small "Verify" button appears on supported video players. Click it to check the video's authenticity.

You can also paste any image or video URL directly in the extension popup.

Sign in with Google to unlock:
- Unlimited verifications (anonymous users get 50/day)
- Persistent verification history
- Creator dashboard (coming soon)

WHAT YOU SEE WHEN CONTENT IS VERIFIED

- Creator's name and profile
- When the content was originally posted
- A link to the verified post on Verda
- A content certificate proving authenticity

PRIVACY

- The extension only sends data to Verda servers when you explicitly verify content
- Optional Google Sign-In — you can use the extension anonymously
- No passive scanning — your browsing is never monitored

- Verification results are cached locally for 24 hours
