FreeGuard VPN · Stream Proxy is a Chrome browser extension that gives each Chrome window its own HTTP/HTTPS proxy, with optional browser-fingerprint controls.

Free tier: 5 free trial locations (US / HK / JP / SG / DE), 500 MB daily quota, no signup. Premium locations (UK, CA, AU, NL, CH, SE, KR, IN, TW, and 20+ others) require a paid subscription available at https://freeguardvpn.com/pricing — the extension lists them so you know what's available; clicking opens a confirmation dialog before redirecting to the website.

The extension covers browser HTTP/HTTPS traffic only. For all apps, system DNS, and non-HTTP protocols, install the FreeGuard desktop app — this extension is the lightweight browser companion.

Core features

• Per-window proxy binding — different proxy for different Chrome windows, switched in one click from the side panel.

• Free trial nodes — 5 regions (US / HK / JP / SG / DE), 500 MB daily quota, no signup, anonymous device UUID only. Trial nodes egress through Cloudflare WARP for improved ASN reputation.

• Bring your own proxy — paste any HTTP/HTTPS proxy URL (http://user:pass@host:port) and save as a profile.

• Fingerprint controls (off by default) — switch UA preset (Windows / macOS / Linux / Android / iOS Chrome variants), timezone (auto-follows region of selected node), Accept-Language, WebRTC policy.

• Side-panel UI — single page, status hero, free-trial quota bar, saved-profile list, advanced toggles.

• Connection diagnostics — see your current egress IP and proxy health at a glance.

• Multi-language UI — 12 languages bundled.

• Not a full system VPN — only browser HTTP/HTTPS is routed.
