Language Nudge turns your browser into a smart vocabulary coach — no extra app needed.

While you work, browse, or just keep Chrome open, Language Nudge automatically pops up bite-sized quizzes and study reminders to keep your vocabulary fresh.

Currently supports:
• Multiple-choice quizzes (MCQ-first, no typing required)
• Written mode (type-the-answer)
• Study mode (passive nudge with auto-close)
• Progress tracking per vocabulary set

🧩 HOW IT WORKS

1. Import your vocabulary (JSON, Quizlet .txt, or paste directly)
2. Activate the sets you want to study
3. Language Nudge auto-pops quizzes at your chosen interval (e.g. every 1–2 min)
4. Answer, get hints, track progress — all without leaving your current tab

🔔 Automatic Quiz & Study Popups
- Quiz popup: forces you to answer before dismissing
- Study popup: shows word + meaning, auto-closes after N seconds
- Fully configurable intervals (e.g. quiz every 0.5 min, nudge every 5 min)

🧩 Smart Multiple Choice
- 4 options, 1 correct — no guessing with a keyboard
- Wrong answer → highlights red + loads hint automatically
- Correct answer → marks word as learned

⏱️ Countdown Timer (anti-guess)
- Each question has a configurable timer (default 15s)
- Time's up → shows correct answer + hint
- Configurable: auto-close on timeout or stay open

💡 Smart Hints (Jisho + Tatoeba)
- Tap the Hint button or answer wrong → pulls real data from:
  • Jisho API: furigana, JLPT badge, part-of-speech, English meaning
  • Tatoeba API: real example sentences with audio
- Hints also show automatically in Study (nudge) mode

📚 Multiple Vocabulary Sets
- Import and manage multiple sets independently
- Activate several sets at once for combined quizzes
- Per-set progress bar (X/Y learned, Z%)

📥 Flexible Import
- JSON format (with prompt, answers, meaning, example…)
- Quizlet-style .txt (tab/comma/dash separator)
- Paste directly into the options page
- Supports furigana notation: 入学[にゅうがく]

📊 Progress Tracking
- See learned / not-yet per set
- Manually mark words as learned or unlearned

🔐 Cheat-proof popups

All vocabulary data is stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local.
No data is collected, sold, or shared.
The extension only contacts external APIs (Jisho, Tatoeba) when you explicitly tap the Hint button.
