Unfocused — Focused by default

Unfocused removes the addictive, attention-grabbing parts of the sites that pull you in — so the web stays useful without the endless scroll.
Instead of blocking entire sites, Unfocused surgically strips the distracting surfaces: infinite feeds, Shorts and Reels, autoplaying recommendations, "For You" pages, trending panels, and streaming-home carousels. You keep what you came for — the video, the message, the search — and lose the rabbit hole.

What It Cleans Up
Unfocused works across the major social and streaming sites — stripping infinite feeds, Shorts and Reels, "For You" pages, trending panels and streaming-home recommendation shelves. The full list of supported sites is shown in the
screenshots.
A few examples:
YouTube — hide Shorts, recommendations, the home feed, comments, and the end-screen video wall.
Instagram — hide Reels, Explore, and suggested or sponsored posts.
TikTok — block the For You page, redirect to Following, and disable swipe-scrolling.
Twitter / X — hide the "For You" feed, trends, and "who to follow".
Streaming services — hide the home page and recommendation shelves, so you watch what you chose, not what the algorithm pushes.

Focused by default, with friction when you slip
Blockers are ON the moment you install — no setup required.
Turning a blocker off requires a short breathing period — a deliberate pause that interrupts the impulse before it becomes a habit.
Need a real break? Start Unfocused Mode for a fixed window (30 minutes by default). It ends automatically and focus returns on its own.

Free vs Pro
Free includes all core site blockers, the breathing-period friction, and the
temporary Unfocused Mode.
Pro unlocks deeper control over the same single purpose:
Granular per-section toggles for every supported site.
A custom blocklist for any other site you want to keep yourself off — you grant access on a per-site basis, only for the sites you choose.
Time-based focus schedules.
Adjustable friction and break timers.

Your Privacy
Unfocused does not track your browsing. It runs locally in your browser and collects no browsing history, no page content, and no analytics of the sites you visit. The only personal data it uses is the email address of the Google account you are signed into your browser with — and only to activate and verify an optional Pro licence.
