AdSkipY extension was written in order not to completely block YouTube ads, as some extensions do, and thereby preventing content producers from receiving money from YouTube ads, but to limit its duration and display without thereby preventing content producers from making money on YouTube ads with minimal inconvenience for you as a viewer who wants to help your favorite channels continue to produce videos that are interesting for you!

Options for more precise configuration of AdSkipY extension are as follows:

- If possible, mute the sound during ads playback*
- If possible, hide ads during its playback time*
- Ability to skip ads in the video without waiting for the countdown to end**
- Closing popup ads on video
- Hiding advertisements on the page next to the video
- Removal of subscription popup to YouTube premium
- Log extension events to browser console***

AdSkipY extension features to set and save some video player settings that YouTube does not save after browser relaunch:

- Disable video annotations continuously if you don't want to see them
- Save video speed which will remain unchanged even if you relaunch your browser


*  Due to the peculiarities of the YouTube player, it is not always possible to react in time to the beginning or end of the playback of the ads
** The extension works in any case as long as you are on the "youtube.com/watch" pages and by setting this setting, the 
advertising video will be skipped immediately and not after a timeout when the "Skip" button appears, but by default, if 
there is no "Skip" button after a timeout, the advertising video will be skipped immediately after the start of its playback
*** This setting is necessary to track events if there are malfunctions in the extension functionality
