About

Check domain age, registration dates, expiry, registrar and nameservers in one click - on any website, and even directly in Google search results.

WhoisAge is a fast domain age checker and WHOIS lookup tool for Chrome. Open it on any site to instantly see how long that domain has been registered, or search any domain manually. The result is a clean, readable report instead of a long raw WHOIS record. No account, no API key, no new tab.

WHY INSTALL WHOISAGE

Domain age and registration history are signals you check constantly in SEO research, competitor analysis, domain buying and everyday website verification. WhoisAge puts that information one click away, right where you are browsing, so you never have to copy a URL into a separate website age checker again.

1. Instant answers: the active website's domain age appears the moment you open the extension.
2. Readable, not raw: dates, registrar, status and nameservers in a clean report you can copy.
3. Honest data: missing fields are labelled "not disclosed" - WhoisAge never invents or estimates a date.
4. Broad coverage: domain age and WHOIS details across 1,500+ TLDs, including major country-code domains.
5. Private and free: no sign-up, no API key, and your browsing history is never tracked.

WHAT WHOISAGE SHOWS

1. Domain registration age in years or months
2. Total number of days since the recorded creation date
3. Domain creation, last-updated and expiration dates when published
4. Time remaining until expiration, with a clear countdown and warnings
5. Registrar name
6. Registrant organization when publicly disclosed
7. Country or region information when available
8. Configured nameservers
9. Registration status when the source can confirm it
10. A clear note on the data source and how fresh it is

ONE-CLICK LOOKUPS AND MANUAL SEARCH

Click the WhoisAge toolbar icon on any HTTP or HTTPS page and the active domain is detected and checked automatically. Researching a different site? Type or paste any domain into the search field. WhoisAge cleans common URL formatting and resolves the correct registrable domain before requesting registration data.

CHECK DOMAIN AGE RIGHT IN GOOGLE SEARCH RESULTS

Search anything on Google and WhoisAge automatically shows a side panel listing every domain in the organic results, each with its registration age. There is nothing to click - the ages appear next to the results as the page loads, and you can dismiss the panel any time. Instantly see how old the ranking websites are for a query, a fast read on how established your competition is before you commit to a topic.

This makes WhoisAge especially useful for SEO competitor research:

1. Gauge keyword competition at a glance by seeing how aged the top-ranking domains are
2. Spot newly registered competitors mixed into a results page
3. Compare established sites against fresh entrants for any search query

Domains with public registration data load their age automatically. For country-code registries without it, the panel shows a "Show age" button and runs a single live lookup only when you click it - so background scanning never burns through your daily allowance.

WORKS ACROSS 1,500+ TLDS

WhoisAge checks domain age and WHOIS details across more than 1,500 top-level domains - the most popular generic extensions and a comprehensive set of country-code domains.

Popular generic TLDs (gTLDs):
.com .net .org .info .biz .io .ai .co .app .dev .xyz .online .site .store .shop .tech .blog .cloud .design .me .tv .live .news .agency .studio .digital .world .group .media .finance .software .solutions .systems .network .marketing .email .top .space .website .pro .mobi .name .club .fun .link

Major country-code TLDs (ccTLDs):

1. Europe: .de (Germany) .uk / .co.uk (United Kingdom) .fr (France) .it (Italy) .es (Spain) .nl (Netherlands) .be (Belgium) .ch (Switzerland) .at (Austria) .se (Sweden) .no (Norway) .dk (Denmark) .fi (Finland) .pl (Poland) .pt (Portugal) .ie (Ireland) .cz (Czechia) .sk (Slovakia) .hu (Hungary) .ro (Romania) .gr (Greece) .bg (Bulgaria) .hr (Croatia) .si (Slovenia) .lt (Lithuania) .lv (Latvia) .ee (Estonia) .lu (Luxembourg) .is (Iceland) .li (Liechtenstein) .ua (Ukraine) .rs (Serbia) .eu (European Union)

2. Americas: .us (United States) .ca (Canada) .mx (Mexico) .br (Brazil) .ar (Argentina) .cl (Chile) .co (Colombia) .pe (Peru) .ve (Venezuela) .uy (Uruguay) .ec (Ecuador)

3. Asia-Pacific: .cn (China) .jp (Japan) .kr (South Korea) .in (India) .id (Indonesia) .sg (Singapore) .my (Malaysia) .th (Thailand) .ph (Philippines) .vn (Vietnam) .hk (Hong Kong) .tw (Taiwan) .au / .com.au (Australia) .nz (New Zealand) .pk (Pakistan) .bd (Bangladesh) .lk (Sri Lanka)

4. Middle East and Africa: .ae (UAE) .sa (Saudi Arabia) .il (Israel) .tr (Turkey) .za (South Africa) .ng (Nigeria) .ke (Kenya) .eg (Egypt) .ma (Morocco)

Popular repurposed ccTLDs used as brand domains: .io .ai .co .me .tv .ly .gg .to .cc .sh .fm .ws

These are highlights from a list of 1,500+ supported extensions. Coverage and the fields available vary by registry: some country-code registries publish full creation and expiry dates, while others provide limited data. When a registry does not publish a creation date, WhoisAge confirms registration and nameservers and clearly labels the age as not disclosed rather than guessing.

SUBDOMAIN AND MULTI-LEVEL DOMAIN HANDLING

Subdomains do not have their own registration date. When you check a hostname such as mail.example.com, WhoisAge keeps the requested hostname visible and clearly labels the result as the parent domain age for example.com. It also understands multi-level suffixes, so a hostname under example.co.uk resolves to the correct registrable domain instead of treating co.uk as the owner-controlled name.

WHAT MAKES WHOISAGE DIFFERENT

1. In-page, not a separate site: check the domain you are already viewing without opening a new tab.
2. Google SERP age panel: see registration age for a whole results page, built for SEO competitor and keyword research.
3. Real country-code coverage: works with ccTLDs such as .de, .fr, .ch, .nl and many more, not just .com and .net.
4. Smart resolution: correct handling of subdomains and multi-level public suffixes like .co.uk.
5. Honest by design: limited and DNS-only results are labelled clearly and never presented as authoritative age.
6. Privacy-respecting: only the domain you check is processed; no browsing history, no account, no embedded credentials.
7. Localized: available in English, German, Spanish, French and Brazilian Portuguese.
8. Free to use: registration-age lookups for supported extensions cost nothing, with a fair daily allowance for live country-code checks.

COPY A CLEAN DOMAIN REPORT

Use the Copy report button to put a concise plain-text summary on your clipboard: the checked hostname, registered domain, age, key dates, registrar, registrant information, location, nameservers and data source. Perfect for audit notes, research documents and client communication.

ACCURATE LABELS INSTEAD OF GUESSES

WHOIS and registration records vary by registry. Privacy rules can redact ownership, some country-code registries do not publish creation or expiration dates, and a deleted domain may later be registered again. WhoisAge handles partial records explicitly: missing fields are shown as not disclosed, limited records are identified, and registration-only results are never presented as authoritative age data.

IMPORTANT: DOMAIN AGE IS NOT WEBSITE AGE

The age shown comes from the creation date in the current registration record. It does not necessarily indicate when the website launched, how long the current owner has controlled the domain, the age of the content or business, whether the domain previously expired, or when a subdomain was created. Domain age is a useful research signal, not proof of quality, authority, safety or search ranking. Combine it with content quality, backlink history, archive history and other evidence.

PRIVACY AND SECURITY

WhoisAge processes only the hostname of the active tab after you open it, or a domain you submit manually. It does not monitor browsing activity, collect browsing history, or sell data. Public routing lists and your latest allowance count are cached locally for speed. The secure fallback service uses a one-way, IP-derived identifier to enforce daily limits without storing the raw address. See the WhoisAge privacy policy for full details.

HOW TO USE WHOISAGE

1. Install WhoisAge and pin it to your Chrome toolbar.
2. Visit any website you want to research.
3. Click the WhoisAge icon to see the domain age and WHOIS report.
4. Or just search on Google - the side panel appears automatically and shows the age of every result domain.

Get the registration context you need in one focused Chrome extension: a fast domain age checker, registration date lookup and WHOIS research tool designed for transparent, accurate results.
