About

MATH Keys is a lightweight equation editor for quickly creating math expressions from your Chrome toolbar.

Use clickable math buttons or keyboard input to build equations visually, then copy the result as a high-resolution PNG image or as LaTeX text. You can paste copied equation images into documents, slides, notes, emails, and other editors that support image pasting.

MATH Keys also saves recent equations locally, lets you reopen previous equations from history, and includes a color setting so you can customize the equation text color.

Key Features:

• Create math equations from a simple toolbar popup
• Visual equation editing powered by MathQuill
• Clickable buttons for common math symbols and templates
• Copy equations as high-resolution PNG images
• Right-click Copy to copy the equation as LaTeX text
• Save recent equations in local history
• Reopen previous equations from the history panel
• Delete individual history items
• Change equation font color from settings
• New button to clear the current equation
• Solve button opens the equation in Wolfram Alpha
• Supports keyboard typing and MathQuill navigation
• Works locally inside the extension popup
• No account required
• No website access needed

Math Button Categories:

Trigonometry:
Includes sin, cos, tan, csc, sec, cot, theta, alpha, beta, and pi.

Operations:
Includes fractions, powers, roots, inequalities, absolute value, logs, multiplication, division, and combinations.

Calculus:

Copy Options:

Copy as Image:
Click the Copy button to copy the rendered equation as a PNG image. This is useful for pasting equations into documents, slides, emails, and notes.

Copy as LaTeX:
Right-click the Copy button to copy the equation as plain LaTeX text. This is useful for LaTeX editors, plain text notes, and technical writing workflows.

Solve Option:

Click Solve to open the current equation in Wolfram Alpha in a new browser tab. Wolfram Alpha handles the solving or computation on its website.

How to Use:

1. Click the MATH Keys icon in your Chrome toolbar.
2. Type an equation or use the math buttons to insert symbols and templates.
3. Click Copy to copy the equation as an image.
4. Right-click Copy to copy the equation as LaTeX text.
5. Click Solve to open the equation in Wolfram Alpha.
6. Use the History button to reopen previous equations.
7. Use Settings to change the equation color.

Privacy Friendly:

MATH Keys runs locally inside the extension popup. Based on the current extension files, it does not read website content, does not modify webpages, does not track browsing activity, and does not send equation history to the developer’s server.

Equation history and color preference are saved locally in your browser using Chrome storage.

When you click Solve, the current equation is sent to Wolfram Alpha by opening a Wolfram Alpha search URL in a new tab.

Disclaimer:

MATH Keys is an independent equation editor and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wolfram Alpha, Google, Chrome, Microsoft, or any document editor platform.
