    🔒 HOW IT WORKS

    1. Save your credentials to the encrypted vault
    2. Generate a share token for a colleague (choose duration: 4h up to 1 Year)
    3. Send them the code via Teams, email, or any secure channel
    4. They paste it into HC SecurePass — done
    5. The extension auto-fills their login on the correct website
    6. Access automatically expires when the time is up
  
    No passwords are ever visible. No external servers involved. Everything stays on your device.

    🔐 AES-256-GCM Encryption
    Every password in your vault is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it is ever stored. Your credentials are safe even if your device is compromised.
  
    ⏱ Flexible Access Duration
    Share access for 4 hours, 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or up to 1 full year. Access tokens expire automatically — no manual cleanup needed.
  
    ✍ Auto-Fill on Login Pages
    HC SecurePass detects login forms on websites and offers a one-click fill overlay. Both vault entries and received shares work with auto-fill.
  
    🗂 BPO Team Categories
    Organise credentials by department — CRM, Email, HR, IT, Finance, Operations, or Other. Filter your vault instantly by category.
  
    🔑 PIN Auto-Lock
    Protect the extension with a 4–6 digit PIN. Configure the auto-lock timeout (5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes). After 5 wrong attempts, the extension locks for 30 seconds.
  
    🔍 Vault Search & Sort
    Search across site names, usernames, URLs, and notes in real time. Sort by name A–Z, Z–A, category, newest, or oldest.
  
    📤 Import & Export
    Export your vault as a JSON backup (without passwords, for security). Import entries from a previous backup — duplicate detection skips entries that already exist.
  
    💪 Password Generator
    Generate strong random passwords (8–32 characters) with configurable character sets. Live password strength meter shows Weak / Fair / Good / Strong / Excellent.
  
    📋 Activity Audit Log
    Every significant action — shares created, tokens received, vault changes — is recorded in a private audit log (last 100 events). Visible only to you.
  
    📡 Notification Badge
    The extension icon badge shows how many active received shares you have at a glance.

    • All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's secure storage API
    • No data is ever sent to any external server or third party

    • Clipboard is automatically cleared 30 seconds after copying a password
    • PIN lock prevents unauthorised access if you step away from your computer
