About

eBay Σummer displays the approximate total cost of an item as a single "EST. TOTAL" figure. There is no need to reach checkout to see what an item actually costs. The estimated total is generated from the given listing price, sales tax, and shipping costs. Compare the total price across listings at a glance on search results, a listing page, watchlist, or bids and offers.

Everything is computed locally in the browser from the numbers already on the page. There is no account, no sign-in, and no data leaves the machine.

TWO MAIN FEATURES

Estimated Total
• Shows an estimated total price across eBay's shopping pages: listings, search results, the watchlist, bids & offers, and the home feed.
   ◦ Each page has its own on/off switch.
• Adds up the total cost: item price + item only sales tax + shipping.
• Marks the shipping cost with a colored dot:
   ◦ 🟢 free shipping
   ◦ 🟡 shipping is over one threshold
   ◦ 🔴 shipping is over both thresholds
   ◦ 📍🏃 pickup only
   ◦ Both thresholds are adjustable:
       - a flat dollar amount (default $10)
       - a share of the item price (default 50%)
• Includes a bid calculator for auctions and Best Offer listings: enter a possible bid to see the estimated total instantly.
   ◦ Accepts a whole number or a formula.
• Breaks a lot or bundle down into a price per item.
   ◦ Accepts a whole number or a formula.
• Handles variable price ranges and non-US currencies automatically.

Auction Ending Notifications
• Sends a desktop alert as a watched auction nears its end, at a chosen countdown.
   ◦ Two alerts, each with an adjustable countdown time.
   ◦ An optional chime plays with the alert.
   ◦ Clicking the alert opens the auction tab.

SETTINGS
• The sales-tax rate and shipping thresholds are set from the toolbar popup, and apply to open eBay tabs instantly.
• Settings sync across Chrome profiles.
• The extension runs only on eBay pages.
