  THE TOOLS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
  • ERASER - Remove ads, banners, sidebars, or anything cluttering a
  page. Shift+Click to remove similar elements site-wide.

  • HIGHLIGHTER - Mark important text with persistent color highlights
  across long articles, AI conversations, and documentation.

  • STICKY NOTES - Pin thoughts, reminders, or context to any part of
  any page. They restore exactly where you left them.

  • RESIZER - Reshape stubborn layouts. Make text bigger, columns
  wider, sidebars smaller.

  • DRAW - Pen, arrow, rectangle, ellipse, and text annotations
  layered over the page.

  • SCRATCH PAD - A panel that collects every highlight and note on
  the current page. Jump back to any of them, or copy them all into
  a new thread (perfect for long AI conversations).

  HOW IT WORKS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
  Open the Adnota dock with Alt+A, pick a tool, and start working.
  Everything you do is saved automatically and restored on your next
  visit to that page.

  Per-domain controls let you turn Adnota off on sites where you don't
  want it. Undo works across every tool. Hide all annotations with
  Alt+S when you need a clean view.

  PRIVACY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
  Adnota uses three permissions: "storage" (to save your annotations
  locally), "favicon" (to display site icons in your annotation history),
  and access to all websites — so its tools are always ready. You can 
  disable Adnota on any specific site in one keystroke, and a global 
  blacklist persists per domain. Nothing is ever sent to a server. Nothing 
  is uploaded. There are no accounts and no telemetry. Your annotations 
  live entirely in your browser.

  COMPATIBILITY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
  Adnota works on the open web - articles, AI chats, documentation,
  shopping, social, and most everyday sites. The modern web is a wide
  spectrum, and highly dynamic web apps (such as those that rebuild
  their layout as you scroll or navigate) occasionally need a moment
  to settle, or may not anchor perfectly every time.

  When that happens, Adnota fails gracefully - your annotations are
  never lost, just temporarily unrendered. Toggle Alt+S to hide and
  restore, or refresh the page to re-anchor.
