    Caught in endless scrolling?

Unloop helps you break out of infinite feeds on Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts by introducing smart friction and session awareness—so you stay in control of your time.

    ---

    🧠 HOW IT WORKS

Unloop tracks how you consume short-form content and gently interrupts passive scrolling patterns. Instead of blocking access completely, it nudges you to make intentional choices.

    ---

    ⚡ FEATURES

    • Smart Reel Tracking
Detects each reel or short you watch in real-time

    • Blur Interruptions
Gradually disrupts passive scrolling with timed visual friction

    • Session Lock
Pauses your session after excessive scrolling

    • Works Across Platforms
Supports Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts

    ---

    🎯 WHY UNLOOP

Most blockers are extreme—you either quit or ignore them.

    Unloop takes a different approach:
It doesn’t force you to stop. It makes you aware.

    ---

    🔒 PRIVACY

Unloop does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

All session data (like reel count and time spent) is stored locally on your device using Chrome’s storage APIs.

No data is ever sent to external servers.

    ---

Take back control—without forcing yourself to quit entirely.
    Caught in an endless scroll?
Unloop tracks your session on Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts and introduces progressive friction before it becomes a doomscroll — without blocking the apps entirely.

    How it works
Unloop counts reels and shorts as you watch them. As your session grows, it gradually increases resistance: a soft nudge early on, a blur overlay deeper in, and a cooldown lock once you've hit your limit. When the session ends, the slate resets.

    Features

Real-time reel and short detection on Instagram and YouTube
Soft overlay after your early threshold
Blur and tab mute during deeper scrolling
Cooldown lock after the session cap
Live popup with session stats and thresholds
Light, balanced, and focus modes for different tolerance levels
Optional Unloop dashboard for tracking intervention history

    Why friction instead of blocking
Hard blocks are easy to uninstall. Unloop stays out of your way until the moment it matters — then it slows you down just enough to make the next scroll a choice, not a reflex.

    Privacy
Session data — reel count, time spent, mode, and cooldown state — is stored locally on your device using Chrome storage. Nothing is sent anywhere by default.
If you connect the optional Unloop dashboard, the extension syncs limited event data (event type, value, and platform) with Unloop's API. No page content, video titles, URLs, or account identifiers are ever transmitted.

Take back your attention — without quitting cold turkey.

    Version 2.1

Added optional Unloop dashboard connection. Once connected, the extension syncs limited intervention events — reel views, overlay displays, and lock triggers — to your Unloop dashboard so you can track patterns over time.

Dashboard sync is opt-in. Nothing is sent until you connect from unloop.iamnaksh.tech. You can disconnect at any time from the same page.

All existing local features — session tracking, friction overlays, cooldown lock, and mode switching — are unchanged.

About
