Want to focus or take a break, but keep going to that Reddit or LinkedIn tab just for a peek that turns into 1h of doomscrolling?

Then the Pause Tab extension was made just for you 😊

Press the extension icon on the top right of your Chrome or via right click anywhere inside the tab, to open an overlay that prevents you from seeing the page content. Then you have to hold the resume button for 5 seconds in order to "unpause" the tab.

Every 15m, you also get a nice "toast" centered on your tab informing you of how much you used the current active site today (resets daily).

    Recently added features:

    - Time tracking toast (every 15m).
    - Ability to stop tracking a site (domain) and then resume tracking.

    Planned features:

    - Better brand and user experience refinements.
    - Pause the tab with a keyboard shortcut.
    - Hold resume via keyboard shortcut.
    - Customize the hold timing.
    - Change from hold to click, double click, or keyboard shortcut.
    - More (let me know what you are missing).

By introducing some friction, you can't just mindlessly dismiss the overlay, making you think if you really want to go back to scrolling while holding.
