About
Healthy YouTube habits for kids, without the daily battle. YouTube Kid Limiter turns "screen time" from a fight into a game. Instead of yanking the tablet away mid-video, it gives your child a friendly brain-energy meter that slowly drains as they watch, plus gentle, restful breaks when the energy runs out. When the break is over, their mind is "recharged" and they choose to start again. HOW IT WORKS A brain-energy gauge sits in the corner while your child watches and slowly drains. Time only counts while a video is actually playing. Pausing freezes the meter, so it tracks real viewing, not wall-clock time. When the energy runs out, a calm full-screen rest scene appears and the video pauses. When the break ends, the brain is "recharged" and your child taps to start a fresh session, now picking up the video right where it left off. Gentle 5-minute and 2-minute heads-up reminders warn that a break is coming, so there's no abrupt cut-off. FOR PARENTS Set two simple numbers: how long a watch session lasts, and how long the break is. Settings are protected behind a quick math exercise, so curious kids can't just change the limits. Optional "bonus" treats let you reward good behavior with extra minutes. Tip: set a long break to create a daily cap. For example, 120 minutes of watching followed by a 10-hour break. PRIVACY No accounts. No subscriptions. No data ever leaves the browser. Works on any Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave). This is a gentle guardrail to encourage healthy habits for cooperative kids, not a hardened parental-control system. For full control, pair it with your operating system's or router's built-in tools.
