Comments Exporter for YouTube saves a video's comment section to a clean CSV or
JSON file in a couple of clicks — no account, no sign-up, no data leaving your
computer.

WHAT IT DOES
• Export top-level comments and their replies from any YouTube video.
• Choose your format: CSV, JSON, or both at once.
• Open the popup on a video tab and the video ID fills in automatically; or paste
  any YouTube link (watch, Shorts, youtu.be) or a raw video ID.
• Load comments page by page with “Load more”, then export everything collected.
• Expand a thread to pull its full set of replies on demand.

EXPORT OPTIONS
• CSV is UTF-8 with a BOM, so it opens cleanly in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Split large exports into multiple files (set rows-per-file).
• Custom filename templates with {videoId}, {date} and {count} tokens.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Everything runs locally in your browser. Comments are fetched directly from the
  official YouTube Data API and written to files on your device.
• No analytics, no tracking, no third-party servers, nothing uploaded anywhere.
• You bring your own YouTube Data API key; it is stored only in your browser’s
  local storage on this device.

HOW TO START
1) Get a free YouTube Data API v3 key from Google Cloud Console.
2) Open the extension → Settings (gear icon) → paste your key.
3) Open a YouTube video, click the extension, press Scan, then Export.
