About

Tab Zen quietly tidies up your tab clutter over time and gives you an Arc-style most-recently-used (MRU) tab switcher.

【Key features】
- Auto-close inactive tabs: Tabs that have been idle past your configured threshold are closed automatically. Set the threshold in minutes / hours / days (up to 30 days).
- Two-stage suspend → close: Tabs are first discarded with chrome.tabs.discard() to free memory while keeping the UI. After a longer threshold they are fully closed.
- Restore history: Auto-closed tabs can be reopened with one click. The history persists across browser restarts (default 100 entries, configurable).
- Smart exclusions: Pinned tabs, audible tabs, the active tab, tabs with unsaved form input, and any domain on your allowlist are automatically excluded.
- Duplicate tab detection: Normalizes URLs (strips UTM params, trailing slashes, fragments) to find duplicates and closes all but the most recent.
- Arc-style tab switcher (Ctrl+Q): A centered overlay shows up to 10 recent tabs with thumbnails. Hold Ctrl and tap Q to step through, release Ctrl to confirm.

Tab Zen does not collect or transmit any personal data. All data lives inside your browser's chrome.storage and no network requests are made.

Tab Zen は、増えすぎたタブを時間経過で自動的に整理し、Arc ブラウザのような最近使った順 (MRU) のタブ切替オーバーレイを提供します。

【主な機能】
- タブ自動クローズ: 最終アクティブから一定時間が経過したタブを自動で閉じます。閾値は分/時間/日で柔軟に設定可能 (最大 30 日)。
- 2 段階のサスペンド → クローズ: 先にメモリだけ解放してタブ UI を残し、さらに時間が経過したらクローズします。
- 復元履歴: 自動クローズしたタブはワンクリックで再オープン。ブラウザを再起動しても残ります。
- 除外ルール: ピン留め / 音声再生中 / 現在アクティブ / 未送信フォーム / 除外ドメインのタブは対象外。
- 重複タブ検出・クローズ: URL を正規化 (UTM 除去・trailing slash 等) して重複を検出。
- Arc 風タブ切替 (Ctrl+Q): 最大 10 件のタブをサムネイル付きでオーバーレイ表示。Ctrl 押しっぱなしで Q 連打 → リリースで確定。

Tab Zen は個人情報を一切収集・送信しません。すべてのデータは chrome.storage 内に保存され、ネットワーク通信は行いません。
