About

Influencer Scout gives you instant, data-driven insights on any YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram creator — right on their profile page.

No sign-ups. No external servers. No data leaves your browser. Just open a creator's profile and get a full analytics breakdown in seconds.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Whether you're a media buyer evaluating influencer partnerships, a brand manager vetting creator shortlists, an agency running outreach campaigns, or a creator benchmarking your own performance — Influencer Scout replaces the manual spreadsheet work with one-click analytics.

WHAT IT DOES

When you visit a creator's profile page on YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram, a floating panel appears with:

Health Rating (A through F)
Every creator gets a letter grade based on how their engagement compares to others in the same follower tier (Nano, Micro, Mid, Macro, Mega). A 2% engagement rate means very different things for a 5K account vs a 5M account — Influencer Scout adjusts for that automatically.

Engagement Rate
YouTube: calculated as views / subscribers (likes and comments are not available on channel listing pages).
TikTok & Instagram: calculated as (likes + comments) / followers.
All rates use the median across recent posts, not the average — so a single viral hit won't inflate the number.

Median Views
The middle value of view counts across recent posts. More reliable than averages for understanding a creator's typical reach.

Posting Frequency
Posts per week, estimated from the upload dates visible on the profile page.

Organic vs Sponsored Split
Automatically detects posts tagged with #ad, #sponsored, #partner, #collab, brand partnership labels, and similar markers. Shows separate engagement rates for organic content and sponsored content — critical for evaluating whether paid collaborations drag down performance.

Trend Tracking
If you've visited the same creator before, Influencer Scout compares current engagement to your last visit and shows an up or down indicator. All comparison data is stored locally in your browser.

SUPPORTED PLATFORMS

YouTube — channel pages (youtube.com/@username, /channel/, /c/)
TikTok — profile pages (tiktok.com/@username)
Instagram — profile pages (instagram.com/username, login required for post-level data)

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Export Card: download a PNG report card of the creator's metrics — ready to paste into Slack, Lark, WeChat Work, or any team chat.

Copy as Text: one-click copy of all metrics in plain text format for spreadsheets or documents.

Chinese / English Toggle: switch the entire panel between English and Chinese with one click. Language preference is saved across sessions.

Right-Click Quick Lookup: select any @username on any webpage, right-click, and choose "Influencer Scout: Quick lookup" to jump to their profile.

Batch Query: open the extension popup, paste multiple creator profile URLs (one per line), and open them all for analysis in new tabs.

Draggable Panel: grab the panel header to drag it anywhere on screen. Click X to collapse into a small floating button.

HOW ENGAGEMENT BENCHMARKS WORK

Creators are grouped into five follower tiers:
Nano (under 10K), Micro (10K–50K), Mid (50K–500K), Macro (500K–1M), Mega (1M+).

Each tier has its own benchmark range for engagement rate. The health grade reflects where a creator falls within their tier's range:
A = well above tier average
B = above average
C = around average
D = below average
F = significantly below tier average

This means a Nano creator with 8% engagement and a Mega creator with 3% engagement can both receive an A — because each is strong relative to their peer group.

PRIVACY

Influencer Scout processes everything locally in your browser. No account required. No data is sent to any server. The only data stored is your language preference and cached engagement snapshots (for trend comparison), saved in chrome.storage.local on your device. You can clear this data at any time through Chrome's extension settings.

LIMITATIONS

YouTube engagement uses views/subscribers because likes and comments are not exposed on channel listing pages. Subscriber counts displayed by YouTube are rounded approximations.

Instagram requires you to be logged in to access post-level engagement data. Without login, only the follower count is visible.

Analysis is based on the 12–30 most recent posts loaded on the profile page, not the creator's entire history.

All three platforms update their page structure regularly. If parsing fails, the extension shows an error state with a retry option.
