About

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tired of website blockers that just don't work?

Most fail for one of two reasons. They're too strict, so you end up disabling them permanently. Or they're too lenient, so you quickly find a way around them.

DecayBlock offers a smarter solution: adaptive friction. It adds a small timeout before you can access a distracting site. This timeout grows the more you visit these sites, and decays when you stay away.

How it works:

- Add websites to your Dashboard and choose how to regulate them: either apply a timeout or block them entirely. You can also categorize sites, like social media or news, or permanently block content such as adult sites.

- When you visit a regulated site, a timeout is applied before you gain access. This timeout increases with continued browsing, gently nudging you to adjust your habits.

- When you stop visiting regulated websites, your accumulated timeout gradually decreases.

- You can easily customize the timeout growth rate (how quickly the timeout builds) and the decay half-life (how fast it reduces) to tailor the extension to your personal productivity goals. You can also set a minimum timeout (e.g., 5 seconds minimum).

- You can also view a chart of your timeout history to see your progress.
