About

Are you always just opening new tabs and going to reddit or twitter?

Hold Up is designed to break that loop. It adds a deliberate pause before loading distracting sites so you can decide intentionally instead of browsing on autopilot.

Proven to cut down on social media usage by up to 90%.

Add one or more domains in the extension options (for example, reddit.com, x.com, youtube.com, or instagram.com). When a tab tries to open one of those websites, Hold Up shows an interstitial confirmation screen instead of loading the page immediately.

From that screen, you can:
- Continue: open the requested page
- Go back or Close: return without opening it

Hold Up helps you stay focused without hard blocking your access. You can still continue when you choose, but the extra decision point makes mindless tab-opening much less likely.
