About

Banter — the AI notepad you never have to read.

Banter captures every call, note, and screenshot from your sales day — then answers anything about your accounts. This extension is the recorder. Sign in, hit record, and your meeting lands in your Banter workspace as a transcript with speaker labels, a summary, extracted contacts, and screenshots — all attached to the note you choose.

Pair it with the Banter web app (app.usebanter.ai) to ask things like "what's going on at Acme?", "prep me for my call with Harriet tomorrow", or "draft the follow-up for the security review" — grounded in your real calls and notes.

What this extension does

🎙️ Records browser meetings — Google Meet, Zoom web, and Teams web. Captures the meeting tab's audio plus your microphone in one click.

📎 Attaches to the right note — recordings land in whichever Banter note you have open, so each call is already filed against the customer, deal, or project.

📸 Screenshots into your notes — grab anything on screen (a CRM view, a spreadsheet, a slide) and drop it straight into a note while you're on the call.

What happens after you stop recording (in the Banter web app)

- Timestamped transcript with speaker labels
- Summary, extracted contacts, and a timeline entry
- Ask the assistant anything about any account — it reads across every transcript, note, and screenshot you've captured
- Draft follow-ups, one-pagers, account plans, and QBR prep from the same workspace
- Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any MCP client to your workspace

Who it's for

Salespeople, AEs, and CSMs who live in Meet/Zoom/Teams calls and want every call answerable later — without typing notes during the conversation or hunting through transcripts afterward.

How to get started

1. Install this extension and pin it to your toolbar
2. Sign in with the same account you use at app.usebanter.ai
3. Install Banter as a PWA (recommended)
4. Open the note you want the recording attached to, join your meeting tab, and click the Banter mic icon
5. Hit it again to stop — the transcript and summary appear in your note shortly after

Permissions, briefly

- Microphone + tab audio — to record the meeting
- Active tab — to know which meeting tab to record from and which note is open
- Recordings upload to your private Banter workspace. You control what gets captured and what stays.
