PERLER BEADS PIXELATOR

Convert any image on any webpage into pixel art — right in your browser. A floating panel lets you scan the page, pick an image, choose your style, and download the result. No uploads, no accounts, no server. Everything happens locally on your device.

HOW TO USE:
1. Click the extension icon — a draggable floating panel appears on the page.
2. The panel automatically scans for all images on the page and shows them as thumbnails.
3. Hit "↻ Scan Page" anytime to re-scan (useful for pages that load images dynamically).
4. Choose your pixel style: Square, Circle, Bead, or Ring.
5. Adjust pixel size with the slider — larger values mean fewer, bigger beads and a more abstract result.
6. Click any thumbnail to start pixelating.
7. Preview the result inside the panel (fitted to view), then:
   • Click "🔍 Full Size" to open the full-resolution result in a new tab.
   • Click "⬇ Download" to save the pixel art as a PNG file.

PIXEL STYLES:
• Square — classic mosaic grid, sharp and clean
• Circle — dot-grid layout with a softer, rounded feel
• Bead — glossy perler bead look with a specular highlight, ideal for planning physical bead art
• Ring — open-center ring tiles, graphic and bold

PIXEL SIZE SLIDER:
Controls how many source pixels are merged into one bead. A small value (e.g. 2–4 px) preserves fine detail; a large value (e.g. 20–32 px) produces a coarse, abstract mosaic. Output dimensions stay close to the original image size.

FLOATING PANEL:
The panel is persistent — it stays on top of any page until you close it with the × button. Drag it by its header to reposition. It works across all websites.

PRIVACY:
No data is collected. No images are sent to any server. All pixelation happens in your browser using the Canvas API. The only external network request is loading the Space Grotesk font from Google Fonts for the panel UI.
