Visa Sponsorship Checker tells you, at a glance, which employers on LinkedIn Jobs
appear on the official UK and Netherlands visa-sponsor registers — without leaving
the page and without sending your data anywhere.

If you're job-hunting on a visa, you normally have to copy each company name into a
government spreadsheet to check whether it can sponsor you. This extension does that
check automatically, right on the job card, the moment you browse.


🟢 HOW IT WORKS

As you scroll LinkedIn Jobs, each employer is checked against the official sponsor
register for your selected country:

 • 🟢 Green marker — the employer is on the register (a licensed UK sponsor or a
   recognised Netherlands sponsor).
 • 🔴 Red marker — the employer was not found on the register.

Hover any marker to see the matched official organisation name, the confidence of
the match, and — for the UK — whether the organisation holds a Skilled Worker route.


✨ KEY FEATURES

 • Works on LinkedIn Jobs search results and job-detail pages.
 • 🇬🇧 United Kingdom and 🇳🇱 Netherlands registers, switchable from the popup.
 • Smart name matching — recognises brand vs. legal names, trading names ("t/a"),
   and common company-name variations, so "Deliveroo" matches "Roofoods Ltd t/a
   Deliveroo" and "Google" matches "Google (UK) Limited".
 • Location-aware — only grades jobs that match your selected country, so a Dutch
   role isn't checked against the UK list.
 • Live summary in the popup: how many companies were checked, licensed, and not found.
 • One-click enable/disable toggle.
 • Automatically adapts to LinkedIn's light and dark themes.
 • Always up to date — the bundled registers refresh automatically about once a week.


🔒 PRIVACY FIRST

 • All checking happens locally, inside your browser.
 • No company names, job details, browsing history, or personal data are ever uploaded.
 • No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking.
 • The only network request is a weekly download of the public register data — it
   carries none of your information.

A match means the organisation appears on the official sponsor register. It does not
guarantee that a specific vacancy offers visa sponsorship — always confirm with the
employer. Registers change over time; the extension refreshes its data weekly.
