Tab Slot keeps launcher, bookmark, and automation workflows from filling your browser with duplicate tabs.

Add a slot marker to a URL:

https://example.com/search###search

The first open creates a clean tab for https://example.com/search and binds it to the slot name "search". Opening the same slot URL again focuses the existing tab instead of leaving another duplicate behind.

This is useful for:

- Reusing one Google Search tab from a launcher.
- Keeping one documentation tab even after you click through to another page.
- Sending repeated automation links to a predictable browser tab.

Tab Slot works with any tool that can open a URL. It does not require SpaceLauncher, although it pairs well with launcher apps.

Privacy:

Tab Slot stores slot metadata locally in your browser profile. It does not use host permissions, content scripts, analytics, native messaging, or a remote service. It does not upload, sell, or share your slot data.
