Simpliq - Summarise YouTube™ with ChatGPT

Simpliq is a privacy-first Chrome extension that turns any YouTube™ video into an instant AI-ready transcript.

With one click, it:
- Extracts the video’s transcript (from captions)
- Opens ChatGPT in a new tab with your chosen prompt
- Auto-pastes the transcript for immediate summarisation
If auto-paste fails or you’re not logged into ChatGPT, the Copy-Me fallback appears — giving you the transcript and prompt in one click, ready to paste into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any other AI tool. You can also trigger this directly via the copy icon in the Simpliq toolbar.

Privacy
Simpliq never stores or transmits your transcript or ChatGPT content. Telemetry is limited to:
- A random daily ID (changes every 24 h)
- The event type (e.g. “summarise clicked”)
- The YouTube video ID

How to use
- Open a YouTube™ video with captions
- Click the ChatGPT icon in the Simpliq extension
- Watch it open ChatGPT and paste your transcript
If you see the Copy-Me fallback, paste the text into any AI tool — or use the copy icon in the extension to access the feature directly.
