ScanHUD is a privacy-first tool for engineers dealing with logs and screen output that cannot be selected or copied.

It extracts text directly from the screen using local OCR and can optionally analyze the results with AI using your own OpenAI API key.

AI Log Analysis (Optional)

ScanHUD can analyze extracted text using AI to help understand logs, errors, or stack traces.

The AI feature uses a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) model:

• Use your own OpenAI API key
• Only text you explicitly choose is sent for analysis
• ScanHUD does not run its own AI backend

This keeps the tool flexible while allowing fast debugging assistance directly from the extension.

Privacy-First Design

ScanHUD is designed as a local-first developer tool.

• OCR runs locally in your browser using Tesseract.js
• No cloud OCR services
