  TabCaster records your active Chrome tab or full screen as a clean, high-quality video and saves it directly to your device. Nothing is sent to a server, uploaded to the cloud, or stored anywhere outside your own computer. The recording exists only on your machine, in the format you choose.
  
  Why the permissions?
  Chrome requires specific permissions for any extension that captures screen content or audio. TabCaster uses these permissions solely to access the tab or screen you choose to record and, optionally, your microphone. They are not used for tracking, analytics, or any purpose beyond capturing the video you explicitly start.
  
  Recording
  
  Record the active browser tab or your entire screen
  Choose between WebM and MP4 output formats
  Tab audio is captured automatically so your recording matches what you hear
  Optional microphone input for voiceover or commentary
  Pause and resume recordings without starting over
  Floating control window keeps pause and stop accessible without reopening the popup
  Keyboard shortcut (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+U) to start and stop without touching the mouse
  Privacy & Blur
  
  Manual blur: click any element on the page to blur it before or during recording
  Automatic blur: detects and blurs common sensitive patterns including email addresses, passwords, and username fields
  
  Blurred elements are masked in the recording but remain fully functional on the page
  Clear all blurs in one click when you no longer need them
  Video Quality
  
  Free: 5 Mbps — suitable for most screen content and text-heavy pages
  Pro Standard: 25 Mbps — smoother motion, sharper detail
  Pro High: 50 Mbps — maximum quality for fast-moving content or professional use
  Audio quality selectable between 64, 128, and 256 kbps
