About
Browser Control MCP connects Claude Code to your actual Chrome browser via the Model Context Protocol. No headless sandbox. No Playwright. No re-authenticating every service you use. The AI operates on the same browser session you are looking at with all your cookies, logins, 2FA tokens, and extensions intact. What it does: Your AI coding assistant can now see and interact with your browser the same way you do. Ask Claude Code to fill out a form, check a deployment dashboard, scrape data from a logged-in admin panel, test your local dev server, or automate repetitive browser tasks from the terminal. 40+ browser automation tools including: - Navigate to URLs, go back/forward, open and close tabs - Click elements, fill form fields (React-compatible), select dropdown options - Read page text, execute arbitrary JavaScript, take screenshots - Find elements by CSS selector or text content, inspect attributes - Upload local files to file inputs - Read and write the system clipboard (plain text and HTML) - Get, set, and delete cookies with full attribute control - Monitor network requests in real time, wait for specific API calls - Highlight elements and add annotations for visual debugging - Simulate keyboard input with modifier keys - Close modals, dialogs, and popups automatically How it works: 1. Install this extension 2. Add the MCP server to your Claude Code config 3. Claude Code now has browser superpowers. The extension maintains a persistent local WebSocket connection (127.0.0.1 only, nothing leaves your machine). Claude Code sends commands through the MCP server, the extension executes them in your browser, and results flow back. Privacy and Security: - All communication is localhost-only (127.0.0.1:7225) - No data is sent to any external server - No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking - You control exactly what Claude can access through MCP tool permissions Requirements: Claude Code, Node.js, Chrome or Chromium-based browser.
