About

IP Lens shows both ends of the current tab's connection in a small, configurable, always-on panel — so you can see exactly what you're connecting from and to.

• LOCAL — your public egress IPv4 & IPv6 (your VPN/proxy exit, not your LAN), the network owner, and country.
• REMOTE — the site's IPv4 & IPv6, with the address actually used to connect clearly marked, plus the network owner (via WHOIS/RDAP) and country.

Great for VPN and proxy users, developers, and anyone curious about how their connections actually route.

Features
• LOCAL vs REMOTE view with per-family (IPv4/IPv6) detail and the "used" address marked
• Network owner and country for both ends (RDAP/RIR + IP geolocation)
• CNAME chain and the HTTP redirect path (with one-click copy)
• Domain WHOIS — registrar and registration/expiry dates
• Optional SSL certificate info (issuer + validity, from Certificate Transparency logs)
• HSTS status and a passive "extension resolver" line
• On-demand DNS-leak test
• Quick links to Chrome's DNS / HSTS / socket pages
• Draggable, collapsible panel; toggle with a keyboard shortcut
• Optional, local-only History log of your visits' connection diagnostics — sortable table, group-by-IP view, search/filters, scoped clearing, and JSON backup/restore. All history stays on your device.

Privacy-first
A single toggle disables all third-party lookups (privacy mode) — in that mode IP Lens makes zero external requests. To look up ownership, geolocation, and your egress address, the extension sends IP addresses and the visited hostname/domain to public lookup services (DNS-over-HTTPS, RDAP, IP geolocation). This is fully disclosed in the privacy policy. IP Lens has no backend of its own and never sends your data to the developer. The optional History log and screenshots are stored locally and are never transmitted.
