Tabs Cleaner runs entirely locally. No data is sent to any server. Chrome Sync backup uses your own Google account's sync storage.

❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Will it close the tab I'm currently looking at?
A: Not by default. Each group has an "Exclude active tab" option that's enabled by default, so the tab you're viewing is always safe. Pinned tabs are also never closed.

Q: How do URL patterns work?
A: Use * as a wildcard. For example, https://meet.google.com/landing* matches any Google Meet landing page. You can have multiple patterns per group.

Q: What happens if I accidentally close tabs?
A: Hit the Undo button that appears immediately after any close action. It restores the tabs you just closed.

Q: Does it send my data anywhere?
A: No. Everything runs locally in your browser. The Chrome Sync backup uses your own Google account's built-in sync storage — no third-party servers involved.

Q: Can I transfer my settings to another computer?
A: Yes! Use Chrome Sync (automatic with your Google account) or export a JSON file and import it on the other machine.
