SOWA Privacy is a browser extension that protects your personal data when using AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, and Grok.

It automatically detects and masks sensitive information (PII) — names, emails, phone numbers, IDs, credit cards, and more — BEFORE your message leaves the browser. All processing runs 100% locally on your device. No data is ever sent to our servers.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Type your message in any supported AI chatbot
2. SOWA Privacy scans the text for personal data in real-time
3. The Privacy Owl widget highlights detected PII
4. Click "Anonymize" to replace PII with safe placeholders
5. When AI responds, placeholders are automatically restored to original values

  Before: "My name is John Smith, email [email protected]"
  After:  "My name is PERSON_1, email [email protected]"
