  Jira Flex Dashboard is a companion Chrome extension for the Flex Dashboard web app. It connects your existing Jira browser login to a fast, project-aware dashboard—without storing passwords, API tokens, or OAuth secrets.
  
  WHAT IT DOES
  • Bridges your active Jira session to https://flexdash.azurewebsites.net/
  • Toolbar popup for quick access when you are connected
  • Works with Jira Cloud and Jira Data Center (on-prem) sites you approve

  • Recently updated — issues updated in a chosen time window
  • Search — JQL queries with a rich filterable grid, saved filter sets, and CSV export

  HOW TO SET UP
  1. Install this extension from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Open the extension and go to Settings (opens in a dedicated tab).
  3. Choose your Jira site:
     • Pick a site detected from an open Jira tab, or
     • Enter your Jira base URL (e.g. https://your-company.atlassian.net).
  4. Select Cloud or Data Center, then click Save and allow access.
  5. Approve Chrome’s host permission prompt for your Jira URL.
  6. Click Open dashboard, or visit https://flexdash.azurewebsites.net/
  
  PERMISSIONS (why we need them)
  • Tabs — open the dashboard and help detect Jira tabs during setup
  • Storage — save your chosen Jira URL and preferences on this device only
  • Optional host access (https/http) — requested only when you save a specific Jira site; used to call Jira REST APIs with your existing browser session
  
  PRIVACY
  • No Jira passwords or API tokens are collected or stored by the extension
  • Optional host access is granted per site by you
  • Content communication is limited to the approved dashboard origin in production builds

  HOW TO SET UP
  1. Install this extension from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Click the toolbar icon — Settings opens in a dedicated tab until Jira is configured.
  3. Choose your Jira site:
     • Pick a site detected from an open Jira tab, or
     • Enter your Jira base URL (e.g. https://your-company.atlassian.net).
  4. Select Cloud or Data Center, then click Save and allow access.
  5. Approve Chrome’s host permission prompt for your Jira URL.
  6. Click Open dashboard (always opens https://flexdash.azurewebsites.net/) or visit that URL directly.
  
  ADVANCED (optional)
  • Additional companion dashboard URLs (up to 5) — for local development or staging copies of the dashboard.
  • In Settings → Advanced, enter a URL and click Save and approve; Chrome asks for that origin only.
  • Open dashboard always uses the production companion site; extra URLs are opened separately from the list.
  
  PERMISSIONS (why we need them)
  • Tabs — open the dashboard and Settings, and read open tab URLs during Jira setup
  • Storage — save your Jira URL, preferences, and optional additional dashboard URLs on this device only
  • Scripting — register a packaged bridge on companion dashboard origins you explicitly approve (not on arbitrary sites)
  • Optional host access (https/http) — requested only when you click Save and allow access (Jira) or Save and approve (extra dashboard URL); used for Jira REST APIs and approved companion dashboards
  
  PRIVACY
  • No Jira passwords or API tokens are collected or stored by the extension
  • Optional host access is granted per origin by you (Jira site and each optional dashboard URL)
  • Production build includes https://flexdash.azurewebsites.net/ by default; other dashboard URLs only after your approval in Advanced
  • Privacy policy: https://flexdash.azurewebsites.net/info/privacy
