  1. Make sure you're logged into Instagram in Chrome.
  2. Click the Instagram Birthday Exporter icon in your toolbar.
  3. Hit "Scan for Birthdays."
  4. The extension quietly reads through your entire following list and checks each profile for birthday data — all within your own browser session.
  5. A live progress bar shows you exactly which profile is being scanned and how many birthdays have been found so far.
  6. When the scan is complete, preview the results and choose your export format.

  • An Instagram account — you must be logged in at instagram.com
  • Birthday information is only available for accounts whose owners have added their birthday in their Instagram profile settings and set it to visible. Accounts without a birthday set, or with birthday set to private, are automatically skipped.

  TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS

  • Run the scan while connected to a stable internet connection.
  • For accounts with a large following list (1,000+), the scan may take several minutes. The progress bar will keep you updated throughout.
  • After exporting your .ics file, open it directly or drag it into Google Calendar / Outlook to import all birthdays at once.
  • If a friend hasn't set their birthday on Instagram, encourage them to add it in Settings → Account → Personal Details.
