About

Reverium is a local reference manager for filmmakers, directors, designers and anyone who collects visual inspiration. This extension lets you save videos and images from supported sites straight into your Reverium library without leaving the page.

✦ TWO-CLICK SAVE — Save or Quick Save

Every save action is split in two: open the import dialog in Reverium to review and tag, OR Quick Save straight into the library without dialog, toast confirmation in the corner of the page.

You can trigger either action from:
  • The Save chip embedded under the video / image
  • The extension popup (toolbar icon)
  • Keyboard shortcuts (see below)
  • Right-click context menu

✦ AUTO-START THE APP

Reverium closed? No problem. The extension wakes it up via a custom URL scheme (reverium://) — your save action launches the app and lands the reference automatically. macOS will ask for permission the first time; after that it's silent.

✦ SUPPORTED SITES

  • Vimeo — saves the video with the EXACT timestamp you're watching
  • YouTube — same, including /shorts
  • Instagram — saves /p/, /reel/, /tv/ posts with title, author, caption
  • Pinterest — saves the pin with all metadata

Saving from other sites: use the right-click context menu (page / link / image / video) — works on any site.

✦ HOW IT WORKS

Reverium is a desktop application for macOS. The extension talks to the running app over a LOCAL loopback connection (127.0.0.1) on a fixed port range. No data is ever sent to any external server. Your library stays entirely on your machine.

This extension does not collect, transmit, or share any browsing data, analytics, or telemetry. Saves connect only to 127.0.0.1 (your own computer). We operate no servers.
