INSTANT ACTIONS ON ANY HIGHLIGHT

• Define — Get a plain-language explanation of a term, phrase, or passage. Perfect when you hit jargon, legal language, or an unfamiliar concept mid-article.

• Steps — Turn a process, workflow, or how-to paragraph into a short numbered breakdown. Useful for tutorials, documentation, recipes, and instructions.

• Summary — Capture the essentials in two or three sentences. Great for long emails, news articles, policy pages, and dense product copy.

• Simplify — Same facts, easier English. Helpful for complex writing, technical docs, or content you want to share with a broader audience.

HOW IT WORKS

Install Select Lens from the Chrome Web Store.
Click the Select Lens icon in your toolbar.
Paste your OpenAI API key and tap Save and start.
Highlight text on any supported webpage.
Click the floating lens button and choose Define, Steps, Summary, or Simplify.
Read the result in place. Copy it with one click if you need it elsewhere.
Setup takes less than a minute. After your key is saved, Select Lens is ready every time you browse.

BRING YOUR OWN OPENAI KEY

Select Lens uses your own OpenAI account. You add your API key once in the extension popup; it is stored locally in Chrome on your device. We do not host your key on our servers.

Usage is billed by OpenAI according to your plan and account settings. You can change or remove your key at any time from the extension popup.
