About

PageReel captures full-page screenshots from a list of URLs and saves them to your downloads folder, with no manual clicking, no viewport cutoffs, and no third-party services.

Paste URLs directly or import them from a .txt, .csv, .xlsx, or .xlsm file. PageReel works through each URL in sequence and saves numbered files so your batch stays organized.

WHO IT'S FOR
QA engineers and testers running visual regression checks across multiple environments or builds. Developers verifying responsive layouts before and after a deployment. Design teams documenting site states for handoffs, audits, or client reviews. Agencies capturing before-and-after screenshots for redesign projects.

WHAT IT DOES
- Full-page capture using the Chrome DevTools Protocol (not a viewport crop)
- Batch processing from a URL list or an imported file
- PNG and JPEG output with configurable quality
- PDF export: compile an entire batch into a single paginated PDF after the run
- Smart layout stabilization: detects sticky headers, fixed elements, scroll-triggered animations, and parallax, then freezes them before capture to prevent overlapping content
- Sticky ISI tray handling: detects sticky Important Safety Information trays and hides them when the full ISI is present in the page body, keeping captures clean (useful for pharma and regulated sites)
- Auto-scroll before capture to trigger lazy-loaded images and sections
- Viewport size control so you can capture at any defined width and height
- Automatic tile stitching for very tall pages that exceed canvas limits
- Deduplication of incoming URL lists
- Per-URL status log with file name, dimensions, and error notes
- Settings persist between sessions

HOW TO USE
1. Open PageReel from the toolbar icon
2. Paste URLs (one per line) or import a file
3. Set your output folder, format, and viewport
4. Click Start Capture Run
5. Keep the tab open until the run finishes

Screenshots save to your Chrome downloads directory under the folder name you choose.

PERMISSIONS
PageReel requests only what it needs to capture and save screenshots:
- debugger: access the Chrome DevTools Protocol, the only reliable way to capture full pages beyond the visible viewport
- downloads: save screenshots and PDFs to your machine
- storage: remember your settings between sessions
- tabs and windows: open and manage the capture tab
- host access (all sites): load the URLs you queue so they can be captured

PageReel runs entirely on your machine. It does not send your URLs, screenshots, or any other data to a server, and it loads no third-party scripts, fonts, or services.

NOTES
Some sites block automation, require login, or render differently in a background tab. Increasing the post-load delay helps pages with slow animations or late-loading content. Legacy .xls files must be saved as .xlsx or CSV before importing.
