  Smarter Bookmarks - Browser Sync (Beta) enables seamless bidirectional synchronization of your bookmarks between Google Chrome and your Android device.
  
  NOTE: This is a beta feature and may have some limitations or stability issues. We're actively improving it based on user feedback.

  • Create Collections - Easily create new collections directly from the popup with parent folder selection
  • Smart Collection Filtering - Only see collections within your sync scope for better organization
  • Sync Options - Customize which operations sync in each direction (Add/Update/Delete for Chrome→Android and Android→Chrome)
  • Browser Sync Folder - Choose which Chrome folders to sync with seven options: All Root Folders (syncs across Bookmarks Bar, Other Bookmarks, and Mobile Bookmarks), individual root folders (Bookmark Bar, Other Bookmarks, Mobile Bookmarks), or Smarter Bookmarks folders within each root
  • Sync All - One-time sync operation to sync all existing bookmarks and collections between devices
  • Queue Management - Local queue ensures changes are saved even when offline
  • Google Sign-In - Secure authentication using your Google account
  • Automatic Sync - Works in the background without manual intervention
  • Editable URLs - Modify bookmark URLs directly in the detailed form
  
  HOW IT WORKS:
  
  1. Sign in with your Google account (same account used in Android app)
  2. Add, edit, or delete bookmarks in Chrome
  3. Changes automatically sync to your Android device
  4. Changes from Android automatically appear in Chrome
  
  REQUIREMENTS:
  
  • Smarter Bookmarks Pro app installed on your Android device
  • Google account for authentication
  • Internet connection for synchronization
  
  PRIVACY & SECURITY:
  
  • End-to-End Encryption - All bookmark data (URLs, titles, descriptions, notes, tags) is encrypted before leaving your device. Only your devices can decrypt the data using keys derived from your Google account.
  • Uses HTTPS for secure data transmission
  • Uses Google OAuth for secure authentication
  • Bookmarks are synced through secure servers
  • No data is stored by third parties
  
  GETTING STARTED:
  
  1. Install Smarter Bookmarks Pro on your Android device
  2. Sign in with your Google account in both the extension and Android app
  3. Pair your devices using a 6-digit pairing code (you can initiate pairing from either device)
  4. Configure your Browser Sync Folder preference in the Android app settings
  5. Start adding bookmarks - they'll automatically sync!
  
  IMPORTANT: This extension requires Smarter Bookmarks Pro for full functionality. The free version of the Android app does not include browser sync features.

  HOW IT WORKS
  
  1. Install Smarter Bookmarks on Android.
  2. Install this Chrome extension.
  3. Sign in with the same Google account on Android and Chrome.
  4. Enable Browser Sync.
  5. Use Sync Now or continue normally while Browser Sync keeps devices converging.
  
  IMPORTANT NOTES
  
  Sync is designed to converge quickly, but it is not an instant push service. Chrome extension service workers and Android background limits can delay sync until the app or extension wakes.
  
  Browser Sync depends on Google account sign-in, Google Drive availability, Chrome bookmark APIs, and the Smarter Bookmarks Android app.
  
  PRIVACY
  
  The extension requests access to Chrome bookmarks so it can read and update bookmarks for sync.
  
  The extension requests Google identity access so you can sign in.
  
  The extension requests Google Drive app data access so it can store encrypted sync state in your Google Drive account.
  
  Smarter servers do not transport Browser Sync bookmark payloads in the sync model.
