About

LaunchKit Assist is the official Chrome extension for LaunchKit — the indie launch content workspace. When you click Assist publish in LaunchKit, the extension helps you paste less and publish faster.

WHAT IT DOES
• Receives your launch post payload from www.powertool.pro (title, body, tracking URL) only when you click Assist
• Copies content to the clipboard as a fallback
• Opens the platform submit page in a new tab
• Pre-fills form fields on supported platforms: Hacker News, Indie Hackers, BetaList, Reddit
• Shows step-by-step status in LaunchKit (success, login required, manual paste fallback)
• Caches adapter selectors locally for faster repeat assists

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
• No popup UI — runs only when LaunchKit requests assist
• Does not store social passwords or session cookies
• Does not click Submit / Publish for you
• Does not bulk-post or automate account actions
• Does not read pages outside the four supported publish domains

REQUIREMENTS
• An active LaunchKit account at https://www.powertool.pro
• Logged into the target platform in the same Chrome profile when login is required
• LaunchKit web app open in a tab that can message the extension

PRIVACY
Post content flows from LaunchKit to the extension only for the assist session you started. Unexpected extension errors may be reported anonymously to your LaunchKit API. Optional adapter-improvement reports (if you opt in) send anonymized page structure — never your post text. We do not sell user data. See https://www.powertool.pro/privacy

REVIEWER NOTES:

Test steps:
1. Open https://www.powertool.pro — register or sign in
2. Create a product and generate launch content (or use existing generation)
3. Go to Publishing / Launch result → pick a channel (e.g. Hacker News)
4. Click the Assist (⚡) button — extension opens news.ycombinator.com/submit and pre-fills fields
5. Verify title/body/URL appear in the form; user must click Submit manually

Extension has no popup. Communication is via externally_connectable from www.powertool.pro.
Host permissions are limited to: news.ycombinator.com, indiehackers.com, betalist.com, reddit.com.
No cookies permission. No remote code execution — all JS is bundled in the package.
