  ItemIQ is the companion browser extension for ItemIQ Photo App teams selling on Whatnot, eBay Live, and using ItemIQ’s closet / catalog tools. Sign in with your ItemIQ org account to browse claimed inventory, see live-show context at a glance, and optionally sync on-air SKU, viewer signals, and Whatnot & eBay Live viewer chat to ItemIQ Host View—without juggling spreadsheets mid-stream.

  Whatnot Live (whatnot.com live shows)
  
  When you enable tracking for Whatnot, the extension watches live event pages and reads public page DOM only—no hidden APIs or socket interception—to assemble a lightweight snapshot:
  
  • Best-effort viewer count when Whatnot exposes it in the UI
  • Show context: titles/headings, seller cues, and a durable listing-style item title when available
  • Catalog-oriented SKU hints: prefers Whatnot’s on-player title chrome (show-product-title) when pinned and parses catalog-style #… / labeled SKU patterns from visible title lines
  • Live auction HUD (timer + bid) — prefers Whatnot’s show-timer test id and Bid: strong lines, including cases where timer and bid sit in adjacent columns under a wider row (not trapped inside one chat listitem wrapper). That keeps countdown and starting / current bid copy aligned when the layout shifts mid-show
  • Synthetic auction row when the winning strip hasn’t fired yet — if the page shows timer + Bid: … but not show-winning-status, the extension still forwards an auction_status row so Host View isn’t silent between auction states
  • Steadier HUD updates while live — faster mutation debounce plus a bounded auction HUD flush cadence reduces “stuttering” countdowns caused by intermittent DOM/coalescing alone
  • Viewer chat (author, message, and visible avatar cues from the chat UI where available)—forwarded when your org’s Host View pipeline is configured, so browser Host View can show a live comment column for Whatnot shows as well as eBay Live (each visible chat row is sent so identical consecutive messages aren’t collapsed)

  Snapshots can be stored locally for the popup and, when configured for your org, forwarded through ItemIQ’s backend so Host View / crew tooling stays oriented on what’s on air.
  
  eBay Live (ebay.com live)
  
  On supported eBay Live URLs (including nested frames used by the player), the extension reads DOM-visible copy from eBay’s live chrome (player-card-title, pricing hints, sold cues when shown). It extracts:
  
  • Current SKU / listing identifiers when the HUD exposes patterns ItemIQ understands (eBay Live SKU, #lots, SKU… styles when present in title/title-attribute blobs, etc.)
  • Current price display text next to the lot
  • Sold-this-stream signals where ItemIQ can reliably infer “sold” from visible buttons/chrome
  • Viewer chat (author + message text from visible chat UI, including shadow DOM where applicable)—forwarded when your org’s Host View pipeline is configured, so browser Host View can show a live comment column for the room (each visible chat row is sent so repeated lines aren’t dropped)  
  
  Like Whatnot, captures can feed Host View / reporting when your ItemIQ workspace is set up for it.
  
  Host pricing strip (Whatnot & eBay Live tabs)
  
  When enabled, a slim ItemIQ bar can appear on supported live tabs showing:
  
  • Org logo and inventory cost when ItemIQ has that SKU on file
  • Comp average and related hints where available
  • Inline sell / commission tiers derived from ItemIQ rules—shown as a short ladder (typically four rounded price rungs with comfortable spacing) so hosts aren’t overwhelmed mid-show
  • A stream gross vs goal chip aligned with ItemIQ Host View goal bands—so hosts can see pacing without leaving the marketplace tab  
  
  The strip reads SKU from the same live captures above and asks ItemIQ’s backend for catalog pricing—no SKU match means no cost row, which is expected until inventory is linked.
  
  Web Host View (browser) — works with extension telemetry
  
  ItemIQ’s marketing Host View page is the big-screen / second-monitor experience your crew drives from Remote Host. Recent UX aligned with the extension includes:
  
  • Live comments for Whatnot and eBay Live (when chat forwarding is active): readable layout, green emphasis for likely buyer questions, dense scrolling when chat moves fast, and panel height aligned with the main product / Dollar-Start Risk band above comps
  • Auction / winner activity from Whatnot’s on-screen winning strip appears with a hammer icon and amber styling so hosts can tell it apart from ordinary viewer chat (timer / bid HUD when the extension forwards them—and between backend snapshots the countdown can advance locally when the forwarded timer string is parseable, so it feels steadier than “jump once per poll”)
  • Giveaway activity — when Whatnot shows “Giveaway with N entries” on the live strip, Host View surfaces it with a gift icon, purple emphasis, and a bold entry count so crew can track giveaway momentum without reading every chat line

  Privacy & data handling (high level)
  
  • Works only on ItemIQ-related origins plus Whatnot/eBay pages declared in the manifest for live features; Firebase/Google endpoints are used for authentication and org data consistent with the ItemIQ product.
  • Whatnot/eBay features are designed around visible DOM text and stable attributes (e.g., data-testid, title, aria-label)—not broad web crawling.
  • Whatnot and eBay Live chat capture use the same principle: only text (and stable visible UI cues the extension is built for) from the page’s chat UI is read—no impersonation of viewers and no access to non-rendered APIs.

  When Enable PP&S SKU highlight is on in the popup, highlight text on supported Whatnot, eBay Live, or TikTok / TikTok Shop pages and Google Sheets (including nested player frames where content scripts run). The extension debounces selection, extracts catalog-style SKU tokens when possible, and pushes through ItemIQ’s backend to the PP&S device you choose:
  
  • Target device picker — lists org teammates who have PP&S View open and listening; refresh when crew joins mid-shift
  • Default PP&S device — pin a teammate’s display so you don’t re-select every show
  • Independent of Host View — PP&S highlight works without turning on Whatnot live-stream tracking or the Host pricing strip
  • Fast image delivery — backend resolves full catalog image URLs for the SKU when inventory is linked; the web display can render from the pushed snapshot without waiting on a second catalog round-trip
  
  Open Pick Pack & Ship View on ItemIQ’s marketing site (dashboard tile) on the pack station monitor, sign in to the same org, and leave Listen for extension enabled so your station appears in the extension device list.

  ItemIQ – Whatnot, eBay Live & closet
  
  ItemIQ is the companion browser extension for ItemIQ Photo App teams selling on Whatnot, eBay Live, and using ItemIQ’s closet / catalog tools. Sign in with your ItemIQ org account to browse claimed inventory, see live-show context at a glance, and optionally sync on-air SKU, viewer signals, and Whatnot & eBay Live viewer chat to ItemIQ Host View—without juggling spreadsheets mid-stream.

  View ItemIQ claimed / closet items tied to your org: thumbnails, key fields, and quick actions consistent with ItemIQ’s workflow (sharing/copy helpers where enabled). Built for fast lookups between lots—not a replacement for the full ItemIQ app.
  
  Whatnot Live (whatnot.com live shows)
  
  When you enable tracking for Whatnot, the extension watches live event pages and reads public page DOM only—no hidden APIs or socket interception—to assemble a lightweight snapshot:
  
  • Best-effort viewer count when Whatnot exposes it in the UI
  • Show context: titles/headings, seller cues, and a durable listing-style item title when available
  • Catalog-oriented SKU hints: prefers Whatnot’s on-player title chrome (show-product-title) when pinned and parses catalog-style #… / labeled SKU patterns from visible title lines
  • Live auction HUD (timer + bid) — prefers Whatnot’s show-timer test id and Bid: strong lines, including cases where timer and bid sit in adjacent columns under a wider row (not trapped inside one chat listitem wrapper). That keeps countdown and starting / current bid copy aligned when the layout shifts mid-show
  • Synthetic auction row when the winning strip hasn’t fired yet — if the page shows timer + Bid: … but not show-winning-status, the extension still forwards an auction_status row so Host View isn’t silent between auction states
  • Steadier HUD updates while live — faster mutation debounce plus a bounded auction HUD flush cadence reduces “stuttering” countdowns caused by intermittent DOM/coalescing alone
  • Viewer chat (author, message, and visible avatar cues from the chat UI where available)—forwarded when your org’s Host View pipeline is configured, so browser Host View can show a live comment column for Whatnot shows as well as eBay Live (each visible chat row is sent so identical consecutive messages aren’t collapsed)
  • Giveaway strip — reads Whatnot’s on-player “Giveaway with N entries” row (gift icon HUD) and forwards entry count updates to Host View  
  
  Snapshots can be stored locally for the popup and, when configured for your org, forwarded through ItemIQ’s backend so Host View / crew tooling stays oriented on what’s on air.
  
  eBay Live (ebay.com live)
  
  On supported eBay Live URLs (including nested frames used by the player), the extension reads DOM-visible copy from eBay’s live chrome (player-card-title, pricing hints, sold cues when shown). It extracts:
  
  • Current SKU / listing identifiers when the HUD exposes patterns ItemIQ understands (eBay Live SKU, #lots, SKU… styles when present in title/title-attribute blobs, etc.)
  • Current price display text next to the lot
  • Sold-this-stream signals where ItemIQ can reliably infer “sold” from visible buttons/chrome
  • Viewer chat (author + message text from visible chat UI, including shadow DOM where applicable)—forwarded when your org’s Host View pipeline is configured, so browser Host View can show a live comment column for the room (each visible chat row is sent so repeated lines aren’t dropped)  
  
  Like Whatnot, captures can feed Host View / reporting when your ItemIQ workspace is set up for it.
  
  Host pricing strip (Whatnot & eBay Live tabs)
  
  When enabled, a slim ItemIQ bar can appear on supported live tabs showing:
  
  • Org logo and inventory cost when ItemIQ has that SKU on file
  • Comp average and related hints where available
  • Inline sell / commission tiers derived from ItemIQ rules—shown as a short ladder (typically four rounded price rungs with comfortable spacing) so hosts aren’t overwhelmed mid-show
  • A stream gross vs goal chip aligned with ItemIQ Host View goal bands—so hosts can see pacing without leaving the marketplace tab  
  
  The strip reads SKU from the same live captures above and asks ItemIQ’s backend for catalog pricing—no SKU match means no cost row, which is expected until inventory is linked.
  
  Web Host View (browser) — works with extension telemetry
  
  ItemIQ’s marketing Host View page is the big-screen / second-monitor experience your crew drives from Remote Host. Recent UX aligned with the extension includes:
  
  • Live comments for Whatnot and eBay Live (when chat forwarding is active): readable layout, green emphasis for likely buyer questions, dense scrolling when chat moves fast, and panel height aligned with the main product / Dollar-Start Risk band above comps
  • Auction / winner activity from Whatnot’s on-screen winning strip appears with a hammer icon and amber styling so hosts can tell it apart from ordinary viewer chat (timer / bid HUD when the extension forwards them—and between backend snapshots the countdown can advance locally when the forwarded timer string is parseable, so it feels steadier than “jump once per poll”)
  • Giveaway activity — when Whatnot shows “Giveaway with N entries” on the live strip, Host View surfaces it with a gift icon, purple emphasis, and a bold entry count so crew can track giveaway momentum without reading every chat line
  • “Run” readiness — when viewers comment Run (or run it / let’s run), those chat rows get a play icon and green highlight so hosts can spot auction-ready signals quickly
  • Clear comments on web Host View resets the stored chat list when you want a clean slate (new messages still arrive from the stream)
  • Collapsible announcements and crew notes—same idea as the collapsible listing description—so hosts who don’t rely on those strips can tuck them away
  • Consistent thin green scrollbars across Host View so vertical panels match the comps strip styling  
  
  When a pushed SKU isn’t in your org catalog yet, Host View can keep the comments column available during active Whatnot or eBay Live capture so the room doesn’t lose chat context while inventory catches up.
  
  Remote Host View habits
  
  Options in the extension support pinning or defaulting a device for remote-driven Host View sessions (Org teammates controlling presentation from Firestore). Useful when one operator drives the big screen while another manages listings.
  
  Privacy & data handling (high level)
  
  • Works only on ItemIQ-related origins plus Whatnot/eBay pages declared in the manifest for live features; Firebase/Google endpoints are used for authentication and org data consistent with the ItemIQ product.
  • Whatnot/eBay features are designed around visible DOM text and stable attributes (e.g., data-testid, title, aria-label)—not broad web crawling.
  • Whatnot and eBay Live chat capture use the same principle: only text (and stable visible UI cues the extension is built for) from the page’s chat UI is read—no impersonation of viewers and no access to non-rendered APIs.
  • Whatnot tracking is opt-in from the popup; nothing runs as “always-on surveillance” outside the scopes above.
  • Local extension storage may cache last captures for UI responsiveness; follow your org’s policies on Host View / telemetry.
