About
Is that "Zoom" link actually zoom.us? Meetingcheck tells you in 3 seconds. After a wave of fake-Zoom attacks drained crypto wallets in early 2026, it became clear that meeting-link phishing is a real threat — and existing tools weren't built for it. Meetingcheck is. HOW IT WORKS Right-click any meeting link, or paste it into the popup. Get a strict three-state verdict: - SAFE — hostname is on our list of official meeting services (zoom.us, meet.google.com, teams.microsoft.com, calendly.com, and others) - DANGEROUS — subdomain spoof, brand impersonation, typosquat, or community-reported scam - UNRECOGNIZED — not on the official list, no clear impersonation, but treat it skeptically WHAT IT DETECTS - Subdomain tricks like zoom.us.attacker.co - Lookalike domains like uswebzoomus.com or googlemeetinterview.click (both real attacks from Feb 2026) - Typosquats: zo0m.us, ca1endly.com - Community-reported scam domains from the Meetingcheck threat feed - Plus checks on URL format, redirects, character encoding, hosting, domain age, certificate transparency, and live community signals WHAT IT DOESN'T DO Meetingcheck only checks meeting links. It doesn't scan your browsing history, read pages you visit, or track you across the web. The extension activates only when you explicitly invoke it — right-click a link, click the toolbar icon, or paste in the popup. PRIVACY - No account required - No browsing history collected - No tracking cookies - No advertising, no analytics platforms - Open source detection at github.com/0xWorkhorse/meetingcheck BUILT FOR WEB3, USEFUL FOR EVERYONE This tool was built in response to the fake-Zoom campaigns targeting crypto founders and teams. If you're in the space and getting meeting invites via Telegram or DM, Meetingcheck is for you. But the same attack pattern targets corporate teams, journalists, VCs — anyone using meeting links from untrusted senders. Free. No paid tier. Ever.
