About

GPT Slim makes long ChatGPT threads feel fast again.

When a conversation gets very long, ChatGPT can become sluggish because the browser keeps too much history fully rendered at once. GPT Slim fixes that by keeping only the most recent turns visible, hiding older turns behind a lightweight “show more” bar, and revealing them in small chunks on demand.

What GPT Slim does:
- Keeps the latest conversation turns visible
- Hides older turns to reduce browser rendering load
- Reveals older messages in configurable chunks
- Adds a small in-page control pill for quick adjustments
- Stores settings locally using Chrome sync storage

Why install it:
- Faster-feeling long ChatGPT threads
- Less UI lag while scrolling or interacting
- Better focus on the current part of the conversation
- No analytics, no tracking, no remote data collection

GPT Slim runs locally in your browser and is designed specifically for chatgpt.com.

GPT Slim is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI.
