XML Viewer & Formatter turns any raw XML document into a clean, navigable, editable view — automatically. When you open an XML document in your browser, the extension takes over with formatting, search, a tree explorer, an interactive chart and one-click XML-to-JSON conversion. No setup, no account, no servers.

If you have ever opened a SOAP response or a WSDL file and stared at a single unformatted line of text, this is the tool that fixes it. It also handles XSD schemas, RSS and Atom feeds, and SVG and SAML documents.

All processing happens locally in your browser. The extension does not collect, transmit, or store any data on remote servers. Detection is fully local (URL pattern, Content-Type, or the first characters of the document). You can disable any detection strategy and add sites to a block list in Settings.
