About
Inknest is a private, offline home for how your days feel. Check in on your mood in two taps, write as much or as little as you like, and watch your year fill in — without an account, a cloud, or your most personal writing being sent to anyone's servers. What you can do: • Check in fast — pick a mood, tap what you did, and add a note from the toolbar popup or the side panel. Logging a day takes seconds. • Keep a real journal — write longer entries with a title, activities, gratitude lines and a gentle daily prompt. Multiple entries per day are welcome. • See your Year in Pixels — your whole year as a grid of mood-colored days, the at-a-glance view Daylio fans love. • Understand your moods — a mood distribution, your average by weekday, day-streaks, and a read on which activities most lift or drain your mood — all computed on your device. • Get a nudge — keep a daily streak and turn on an optional reminder at a time you choose; it's generated locally, with no account. • Reflect with prompts — rotating reflection and gratitude prompts make the blank page easier. • Own your data — search and filter every entry, switch light & dark, lock with an optional passcode, back up to JSON, or export your whole journal as Markdown. Private by design: Inknest keeps every entry, mood and setting in your browser (chrome.storage.local). There is NO account, NO analytics, NO content scripts and NO remote code. The only network request fetches a small display-config for the Support button and sends no personal data. The optional passcode is a soft on-device lock, not encryption. Inknest is a personal journaling tool, not a medical or mental-health service. Keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Shift+N opens the quick check-in; Alt+Shift+J opens the full journal.
