YouTube Transcript Summary for ChatGPT AI adds a Summary button to YouTube video pages. When you click it, the extension reads the creator-provided transcript when available, falls back to YouTube auto captions, copies a structured summary prompt to your clipboard, opens ChatGPT, and fills the prompt box so you can review it before sending.

For release safety, the extension does not click ChatGPT's send button automatically. It also stops if a transcript is longer than 80,000 characters, so it does not create misleading partial summaries from very long videos.

Privacy: this extension does not use a developer server and does not sell personal data. Transcript text is processed locally in your browser to create a prompt. The prompt is only sent to ChatGPT if you review it and choose to submit it there.
