About
CSBOARD adds an inline price comparison overlay to Steam Community and CSFloat marketplace pages, so you can see what an item is worth before you buy, sell, or trade it. WHERE IT WORKS The overlay appears automatically on: Steam Inventory — sees Buff bid alongside each item, with float, fade percentage, and pattern indicators where applicable. Steam Market listings — shows a comparison banner above the listing so you can immediately tell whether a price is fair. Steam Trade Offer window — totals both sides of the trade in USD, with the Buff bid value displayed below the regular price so you know if a trade is balanced before accepting. Steam Trade History — evaluates each historical trade in USD from a local cache. CSFloat listings — adds a small price line under each card with the Buff reference price and a colored percentage badge showing how the listing compares. CSFloat sell page — lets you set a target percentage of Buff and auto-fills the price field when you list an item. CSFloat auctions — tracks the current top bid against the reference price. HOW IT WORKS Prices are fetched once from a single cached endpoint (about 24,000 items, refreshed every five minutes) and stored locally. The overlay reads from the local cache, so there are no per-item network calls and no visible loading delay even on inventory pages with hundreds of items. When you change currency on CSFloat, the overlay updates in place without a reload. Doppler knife phases, fade percentage on knives and gloves, and Case Hardened blue coverage are detected automatically and shown alongside the price. PRIVACY Read-only. The extension never modifies your Steam account, never automates trades, never uploads your inventory, trade history, or browsing activity to any server. Cookies are read only on csboard.com to inherit your saved currency preference, never sent to third parties. The full source code is published under the MIT license at github.com/kizilovv/csboard-extension. Privacy policy and source are linked in the listing.
